  2. This tutorial works for both b3 v1.9 and b3 v1.10 In order to run a B3 server, we need python 2.7 to be installed on the server. Python 3 is not compatible ATM. First you need to install the following. (I do this way cus I like ez would.) You will need apache to run phpmyadmin. sudo apt-get install apache2 PHP is also required to run phpmyadmin. sudo apt-get install php5 if you run in to error sudo apt-get install php Install PHP 5.6 on Ubuntu 16.04 Ubuntu 16.04 comes with PHP 7.0 by default. To install PHP 5.6, you need to enable PPA sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ondrej/php Now you can install PHP 5.6 with sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install php5.6 php5.6-mbstring php5.6-mcrypt php5.6-mysql php5.6-xml php5.6-intl php5.6-intl php5.6-mbstring php5.6-cli php5.6-gd php5.6-curl php5.6-sqlite3 To install apache module, run apt install libapache2-mod-php5.6 If you have PHP 7 installed, it won’t activate php 5.6 module. To activate, run a2dismod php7.0 a2enmod php5.6 Now restart apache service apache2 restart MySQL is need to have the database working. and also the python-mysqldb package. sudo apt-get install mysql-server mysql-client The password I recommend the root password. sudo apt-get install python-mysqldb The next is we need phpmyadmin which is ez to work with. sudo apt-get install phpmyadmin The password I recommend the root password. sudo nano /etc/apache2/apache2.conf Add this line in the apache2.conf so phpmyadmin will work at ip/phpmyadmin Include /etc/phpmyadmin/apache.conf And finally restart apache. /etc/init.d/apache2 restart B3 10 Requirements apt-get install python-pip pip install python-dateutil pip install pymysql pip install feedparser pip install requests b3.distribution.xml plz use this for the b3.xml for b3 v1.10 do not generate. just rename it. Download and install the latest b3 for the relevant source and u know what to do MySQL errors fix

How to set up Minecraft 1.2.5 and lower: Copy the .minecraft folder into "C:\Users\your user\AppData\Roaming" If you can't find it because it's a hidden folder, then open the start menu and type in the search box %appdata% and hit enter. For win xp users: open the start menu > all programs > accessories > run > type %appdata% and hit enter and Copy .minecraft there. Open .minecraft and start Minecraft or MinecraftLauncher (the Minecraft 1gb and 2gb Launchers start the game with extra ram if run) Choose a Username (this is very important for multiplayer) If you like the game support the developers by buying the game and seeding the torrent :-) Remember to register on the forums *Click Me* so you can receive Minecraft client update notifications and give aways. How to play multiplayer: Click multiplayer then select TeamExtreme. When you join the server, you should see this message: Please register with "/register followed by password" If you only see: Please login with "/login password" that means the username you have chosen when you launched Minecraft is taken. In that case, close Minecraft and re-open it with a different username. Press *T* to open the chat, then type "/register and type a password E.G. /register cookies" (Don't type "password or your name" replace it with a word...). then type "/login (password here)" and that is it. 7. In order to run a Minecraft server, we need Java 1.7 to be installed on the server. To install Java 1.7, run the following commands: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jdk Download the Minecraft server via wget. If you don't have wget installed, then you can install it via sudo apt-get install wget. Replace 1.10.2 with the current release of Minecraft. or check if you are looking to use plugins and etc wget chmod +x minecraft_server.jar The Minecraft install is complete. Accept the license agreement. echo "eula=true" > eula.txt You can now start your Minecraft server via the following command: java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui This command starts the Minecraft server with 1024MB RAM allocated. How to allocate more RAM to Minecraft server is easy. Simply change the -Xmx and -Xms attributes in the command. In case you want the server to run in the background, you can install screen: apt-get install screen To start the Minecraft server in screen, open a screen instance, then run the Java command again. I usually use a bash script cus its easy to reboot etc. nano copy and past the below #!/bin/bash # COD4 Server Management Script. # Coded and devoloped by # Startup Server mcserver screen -dm -S mcserver -t mcserver bash -c 'taskset -c 0 java -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui' Then chmod the file and start chmod +x ./ To check if the server is running screen -ls root@ip-172-31-17-128:~# screen -ls There are screens on: 22568.mcserver (02/08/2017 10:45:47 AM) (Detached) 2 Sockets in /var/run/screen/S-root. The format is so if you want to stop the server type kill pid eg : kill 22568
  8. Overview This guide will cover the installation and operation of a Call of Duty 4 (COD4) server using screen. Requirements Call of Duty 4 game client installer CD or image. VPS (1 CPU, 1GB Memory, 20GB Storage) as a minimum. (Can Run 2 Servers, Better to Run 1 Server) OS : Ubuntu/Debian (Recomemded Debian) Installation Login as root on the server that you will be using for this installation. Run the following command list. sudo -i apt-get update && apt-get upgrade -y Screen is often times included with the OS image by default, but you may be required to install it yourself. apt-get install screen Because the Call of Duty 4 server only runs on i386 machines, you have to enable the "multilib" feature in Debian. dpkg --add-architecture i386 apt-get update sudo -i cd /etc/apt/sources.list.d echo "deb raring main restricted universe multiverse" >ia32-libs-raring.list apt-get update cd apt-get install ia32-libs If you happen to run in to an error try this. And if there is an error please feel free to comment as a post with a screenshot or the error log sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-dri:i386 sudo apt-get install ia32-libs-multiarch:i386 sudo apt-get install nasm:i386 build-essential gcc-multilib g++-multilib For security purposes, we do not want to run the server using the root account. You should use a standard user account. (but I'm using root for the tutorial.) Create a directory for the game server, download files roughly 3.7GB and unzip it. mkdir cod4 cd cod4 unzip chmod +x cod4_lnxded Default server version is 1.7a. The server.cfg is located it in the main folder. Edit it as you want but never put the rcon in the cfg. Next, create a start-up script that starts a dedicated server (with screen) and enables map rotation. nano Paste the following content into the script file. (if you are using ftp download this ) #!/bin/bash # COD4 Server Management Script. # Coded and devoloped by # Startup Server 28960 screen -dm -S COD4_28960 -t COD4_28960 bash -c 'taskset -c 0 ./cod4_lnxded +set dedicated 2 +set net_port 28960 +set fs_game mods/pml220 +set rcon_password "testing12355" +set sv_authorizemode -1 +set sv_punkbuster 1 +set fs_basepath /root/cod4 +set fs_homepath /root/cod4 +set sv_maxclients 32 +exec server.cfg +map_rotate' Save your changes to the script file, then make it "executable". chmod +x If you are using the iptables firewall, add the following rules. Update the ports if you have changed them in the server configuration file. -A INPUT -p udp --dport 28960 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -p udp --sport 28960 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 28960 -j ACCEPT -A INPUT -p tcp --sport 28960 -j ACCEPT Finally, start your server. ./ To check if the server is running screen -ls root@ip-172-31-17-128:~# screen -ls There are screens on: 22568.COD4_28960 (02/08/2017 10:45:47 AM) (Detached) 2 Sockets in /var/run/screen/S-root. The format is so if you want to stop the server type kill pid eg : kill 22568
